In the last counts we recorded at least 1,722 species, 39 of them endemic and 220 migratory, which places us in the top 3 of the countries with the most species in the world.

Every year, from June to October, our coasts become a sanctuary for humpback whales, who arrive in search of shelter, food and warm waters. These conditions make us their favorite place to mate and give life to their offspring.
